As students become more proficient in Japanese they have more opportunities to write.
Many people who are strong speakers, but not such strong writers.
The Research Institute for Japanese Language Education has a long history of providing Japanese language education to participants in the JET program and they we have used this to develop an online essay writing course.
Students will improve their essay writing skills by writing about a variety of topics, including those of their own choice.

What is the essay assessment provided by NPO Research Institute for Japanese language learning?

One experienced Japanese language teacher to assess all your writing
	Teachers who have experience grading papers from JET program participants and/or other significant experience in teaching essay writing skills, will kindly, carefully & thoroughly grade your papers. As the course progresses, the teacher will develop an understanding of the student’s strengths and weakness and be able to give advice accordingly.
Original materials will be used.
	Students will have access to all the materials that have been specifically developed for this course. These include: model essays with grammatical and vocabulary explanations and conversations for various situations. All the materials are designed to be understood just by being read.
Essays can be written on a wide variety of topics, from everyday situations to business.
	We envisage students from all walks of life taking this course and have prepared a wide variety of topics, ranging from situations people encounter on a daily basis, to the business world. Students can choose the topics that are best suited to their needs or write about a topic of their own choice.
Flexible timeframes to suit your schedule
	For the duration of the course, the frequency and timing of the submission of the essays can be decided by the student. The student can write and submit their essays when it best suits them.
